Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Detection Lead to support a critical Cyber Security Operations Center for an Intelligence customer in Cape Canaveral, FL. This onsite role requires active TS/SCI CI Polygraph and leads enterprise-wide incident response with strong coordination and technical oversight.

The candidate will analyze network traffic, correlate events, and produce detailed reports while developing incident response guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience.
• IAT II Certification (Security+CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, etc.).
• Experience using SIEMs (Splunk, ArcSight), detection tools, and threat intel platforms.
• Experience with PCAP using Wireshark.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to brief executives and develop documentation.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams of analysts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security incidents from initial detection through after-action reporting and coordination of resources.
• Lead enterprise-wide incident response activities with command-and-control support during cybersecurity events.
• Analyze network and system data to identify abnormal patterns and potential threats.
• Correlate security events using data from multiple sources.
• Evaluate the scope and impact of cyber incidents on data and infrastructure.
• Produce detailed incident reports with findings and remediation recommendations.
• Develop and update incident response guidelines, procedures, and processes.
• Serve as a team lead and provide direction to other personnel.
