The role emphasizes Proxmox/VMware ESXi/Hyper-V virtualization, DoD RMF and STIGs compliance, scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell), and continuous improvement of security monitoring and incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a systems engineering or infrastructure role.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, SSO, and authentication protocols.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V, or Proxmox).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP desirable).
• Minimum DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Site Configuration & Infrastructure Management: Configure servers, storage, and networking hardware in secure environments.
• Security Operations & Monitoring: Operate security platforms and support incident response.
• Documentation & Technical Communication: Produce SOPs and network diagrams; present to stakeholders.
