Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in managing cybersecurity technology systems in a large, distributed environment.
• Background working with Incident Response and/or Security Operations Center (SOC) teams.
• Experience with XDR/SIEM platforms such as Google SecOps.
• Experience with the M365 security suite (Defender, Purview, Intune, Entra).
• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable Nessus.
• Scripting and development ability (PowerShell, Python, BASH, SQL).
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and collaboration skills.
• One or more certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, GSEC.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and manage security events; contain, investigate root cause, recover from attacks; create incident reports for senior management.
• Work with MSSP to monitor, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts; coordinate containment and post-incident activities.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware across endpoints, networks, identities, and logging.
• Own and manage enterprise vulnerability management; run scans and coordinate patches with IT teams.
• Collaborate with IT to develop new security protocols and defensive systems to stay ahead of attackers.
• Oversee collection and management of metrics and dashboards for security operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve security controls and processes; research and deploy new technologies.
• Contribute to security standards, policies, and technical documentation.
