Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Defense Incident Responder to support SITEC 3 EOM at MacDill AFB, Florida. You will lead end-to-end containment, investigation, eradication, and recovery across enterprise networks.

The role requires DoD TS/SCI clearance, Security+ certification, and hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and forensics. You will coordinate with leadership and regulatory bodies, producing formal After-Action Reports to strengthen defenses.

Qualifications

• DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• Security+ certification required.
• Extensive experience in cyber incident response.
• Experience with SITEC or USSOCOM environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contain, investigate, eradicate, and recover from cyber incidents end-to-end.
• Isolate compromised endpoints and halt lateral movement.
• Perform host and network forensics and analyze artifacts.
• Produce Incident Summaries and After-Action Reports.
• Coordinate with legal, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and update IR playbooks and run tabletop exercises.
