Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Defense Incident Responder to support SITEC-3 EOM at MacDill AFB, Florida. The role focuses on end-to-end incident response, containment, and forensic analysis within a DoD environment.

You will work with USSOCOM stakeholders to detect, triage, and eradicate threats, coordinate with legal and regulatory bodies, and produce After-Action Reports detailing root causes and remediation steps for mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with PhD
• A DoW TS/SCI clearance is required
• Security+ and DoD 8140 compliance under Work Role Code 531

Responsibilities

• Contain, investigate, eradicate, and recover from cyber incidents.
• Isolate compromised endpoints and halt lateral movement.
• Conduct host and network forensics and malware triage.
• Produce formal incident summaries and After-Action Reports (AARs).
• Coordinate with legal, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
