Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Cyber Defense Engineer II to join its security team. You will work across cloud security, IAM, infrastructure protection, cyber recovery, disaster recovery engineering, application security, DevSecOps, and security tooling to defend our environment.

You will participate in threat hunting, incident response, and on-call coverage while contributing to SOPs and playbooks. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to operate in a lean, shared-coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field required.
• 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Certifications in security preferred.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR and log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support threat hunting and investigate anomalies across the environment.
• Operate SIEM and analyze log data for detections.
• Assist incident response and insider risk investigations.
• Support cyber recovery and disaster recovery testing.
• Document SOPs and playbooks for threat hunting and detection.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lean team coverage.
• Collaborate in a shared-coverage security team.
