Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Senior Director of Cyber Defense Architecture & Engineering to lead the strategy, design, and continuous improvement of enterprise detection, response, and threat mitigation across endpoints, cloud, identity, data and SaaS environments.

The role partners with the CISO and other senior leaders to establish a vision ensuring scalable, measurable defense capabilities and mature security posture across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information security, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 12+ years of related experience with 8+ years in management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise cyber defense architecture strategy with senior leadership.
• Develop layered defense models across endpoints, network, cloud, identity, and SaaS.
• Establish logging standards and telemetry requirements across platforms.
• Lead evaluation of new tools and technologies to support Cyber Defense.
• Oversee architecture and engineering of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and related platforms.
• Drive automation and policy-as-code for response workflows with cloud security.
