Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a Cyber Data Science Engineer to analyze large cybersecurity data sets, develop data-driven solutions, and report actionable IA insights using tools like Tableau and Excel. You will transform and visualize data across vulnerability, auditing, and configuration management tools, influencing risk management strategies.

The role demands strong statistics, Python programming, and experience with AI/ML approaches, including AWS SageMaker, Tableau, and related analytics platforms.

Qualifications

  • Requires 10-12 years with BS/BA, or 8-10 years with MS/MA, or 5-7 years with PhD.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Able to support customer’s core hours (0900-1500; Mon – Fri).
  • Must possess DoD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM (or able to attain within 6 months of contract start).
  • Deep understanding of statistics and analysis.
  • Skilled in artificial intelligence and machine learning (e.g., SageMaker).
  • Ability to code in multiple languages, including Python.
  • Knowledge of databases, data structures, and data architectures.
  • Excellent communications skills – both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Office Automation Skills – MS Office, MS Project, Visio.
  • Self-starter requiring limited direction and supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Infogram, Chartblocks).
  • Experience with data transformation (structured data format/schema transformation) using common programming tools (e.g., Python, JSON, etc.)
  • Experience applying statistical analysis to large data sets.

  • Analyze data sets found in the customer's vulnerability scanning, auditing, authorization, and configuration management tools.
  • Import, transform, analyze, and visualize data and report actionable insights to the customer (e.g., Tableau).
  • Provide analysis and graphical presentations of collected metrics for IA compliance status reporting.
  • Support and evolve legacy visualization and situational awareness tools based on Microsoft Excel into modern data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management teams to develop means to integrate, automate, and provide dynamic visualization capabilities for risk management efforts.

The program provides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) core and non-core support in the areas of Cyber Security and Management to improve the Information Assurance (IA) posture of a National customer. The contracts Core Capabilities are: IA Management, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) coordination and reporting, Risk Management Framework (RMF) application, IA compliance measurements and metrics, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Vulnerability Management, and Cyber Defense support.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
