Job summary

Peraton in Linthicum, MD seeks a Cyber Data Analyst to join a DoD-focused team. You will craft cyber trend reports, analyze threat data, respond to RFIs, and monitor Jira/Confluence for automation and workflow improvements.

You will engage with DIB partners and senior govt leaders, leveraging MITRE ATT&CK, TTPs, and threat intel in a fast-paced environment. Requires active Secret clearance, strong communication, and deep Jira/MS Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or Software Engineering; four years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Expert in Jira, MS Excel; experience creating pivot tables and other charts.
• Experience with DoD Cyber Operations.
• Experience communicating with senior government or military leadership.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Knowledge of APTs and TTPs.
• Familiarity with phishing and ransomware incidents.
• Preferred: CCE, CySA+, or GCTI.

Responsibilities

• Compose cyber trend reports for Defense Industrial Base partners.
• Respond to RFIs, including data pulls and other metrics.
• Monitor Jira for tickets and provide updates.
• Identify automation opportunities in Jira and Confluence.
• Update SOPs and redesign Jira UI for efficiency.
• Enhance service management in Jira.
• Conduct open-source and closed-source research of IOC indicators.
• Analyze threat data from multiple sources.
• Peer-review team reports.
• Outreach to DIB partners and customers for cyber reports and incidents.
