Job summary

SIXGEN is seeking a Senior Engineer, Cyber AI R&D to design and prototype AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions. You will work across software engineering, cybersecurity, and applied AI in a hands-on R&D environment.

Responsibilities include building prototypes, evaluating AI models, and integrating AI into real software systems. A TS/SCI clearance and strong engineering background are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Math, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software/cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with large language models or modern AI systems.
• Experience integrating models with APIs and tools.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop AI-enabled cybersecurity capabilities and prototypes.
• Build working software quickly and deliver functional prototypes.
• Apply AI to specialized cyber workflows (vulnerability research, malware analysis, code analysis).
• Develop agentic systems and workflows integrating models with tools and data sources.
• Experiment with new models and techniques and evaluate improvements.
• Document architectures, experiments, and findings for reproducibility.
