Harnham in the United States seeks a Senior/Principal Applied AI Engineer to own GenAI solutions from prototype to scalable deployment. You will design and deploy AI applications, build LLM-powered systems, and create chatbots with an eye for performance, cost, and compliance.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, data, and partners to align AI initiatives with business priorities, delivering measurable outcomes at scale in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python development with GenAI/machine learning libraries.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation.
• Proven ability to build RAG pipelines and use vector databases.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms.
• Production-grade conversational AI or chatbot delivery experience.
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy Generative AI applications across platforms.
• Develop LLM-powered solutions using prompt engineering and RAG pipelines.
• Build and own AI chatbots and conversational agents to production standards.
• Create AI agents for real-time interactions across channels.
• Deliver PoCs for document understanding, summarisation, and knowledge assistants.
• Optimize model usage, prompts, and costs while maintaining reliability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data and external partners.
