Responsibilities

• Provide casework services in Foster Care.
• Arrange transportation to community resources as part of social service aide plan.
• Participate as a team member to plan services for clients.
• Request educational, medical, and other records as needed.
• Refer clients to service providers and other programs.
• Support self-care to reduce secondary trauma risk for staff.
• Assist with Foster Care Review Board and related documentation.
• Protect client and employee personal information and ensure data confidentiality.
• Assist with child and family visitation and parent/household skills training.
• Provide various admin support tasks (correspondence, copy, fax, email).
• Perform shelter/emergency response duties as required for full-time staff.

Job Duties:

• The CWS Case Worker Assistant provides casework services in the area of Foster Care.
• Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as a part of social service aide plan. Assist with the transportation of children
• Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.
• Makes requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records etc.
• Makes referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, seneca search etc..
• Maintains an active routine of self-care and pursues support when necessary to minimize the threat of secondary trauma to physical and mental health.
• Assists with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies and ICPC packets etc.
• To understand and exercise data security and confidentiality in the transfer, disclosure and management of all client and employee personal information.
• Assists with child and family visitation and teaches appropriate parenting and household management skills.
• Assists with other administrative support functions to include correspondences, copy, fax, email etc.
• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor. Perform shelter/emergency response duties when needed and as directed (FTE only).
• To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

High School Diploma and relevant clerical, administrative, social work, corrections, business administration, or general business experience.

An Associate Degree or higher may be substituted for the required work experience.

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Individuals must comply with necessary field work assignments.
