Job summary

G&W Products in Fairfield, Ohio is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to collaborate with weld supervisors, leads and welders to inspect welds and ensure workmanship, quality and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates hold AWS CWI certification with 2+ years of weld inspection experience, and can read weld symbols and blueprints. Familiarity with D1.1 and Ground Combat Vehicle welding codes for aluminum and steel is a plus. Must lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification and 2+ years welding inspection experience.
• Ability to read weld symbols and blueprints.
• Experience with D1.1 and Ground Combat Vehicle Welding codes where applicable.
• Capable of using measuring equipment such as calipers and height gauges.
• GD&T knowledge is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to lift 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Observe testing and confirm welds meet required standards.
• Partner with Weld Inspection leaders to develop and approve required weld documentation.
• Perform weld audits.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
