Job summary

G&W Products in Fairfield, OH is hiring a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to join our team. The role focuses on weld inspections, dimensional checks, and verifying workmanship, quality, and safety standards across our metal fabrication operations.

You will work with weld supervisors and welders, reading weld symbols and drawings, conducting audits, and helping maintain weld documentation to support production and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be AWS, Certified Weld Inspector (CWI).
• 2+ years of weld inspection, required.
• Must be proficient at reading weld symbols and blue-print drawings.
• Manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Experience with D1.1 and Ground Combat Vehicle Welding code for aluminum and steel.
• Capable of using measuring equipment (i.e. fillet gauges, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
• Proficiency in GD&T preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to lift 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Observe testing and confirming welds meet required standards
• Partner with the Weld Inspection leaders to develop and approve required weld documentation
• Perform weld audits
• Complete other duties as assigned
