Job summary

G & W Products Inc. seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to ensure weld quality and safety across our metal fabrication operations in Fairfield, Ohio. The role collaborates with weld supervisors, leads, and welders to verify workmanship and compliance with standards.

Requirements include AWS-CWI certification, 2+ years of welding inspection experience, strong reading of weld symbols and blueprints, and proficiency with measuring tools. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years weld inspection experience required.
• Able to read weld symbols and blueprints.
• Experience with D1.1 and Ground Combat Vehicle welding codes for aluminum and steel.
• Capable of using measuring equipment (fillet gauges, calipers, height gauges).
• GD&T knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe testing and confirm welds meet required standards.
• Partner with Weld Inspection leaders to develop and approve weld documentation.
• Perform weld audits.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
