Job summary

MISTRAS Group in Louisville, KY seeks a qualified CWI Technician for full-time on-site welding inspections and NDT activities across industrial environments. You will ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, API and customer specifications while supporting outage, shutdown, or project schedules.

The role requires current CWI, NDT experience, the ability to read drawings, and strong safety and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• Previous NDT inspection experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, and industry codes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with AWS, ASME, API, and customer specifications.
• Conduct and/or support NDT inspections including VT, MT, PT, UT, and RT as qualified.
• Interpret codes, standards, procedures, and engineering drawings.
• Document inspection findings and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Verify weld quality, dimensions, fit-up, and compliance requirements.
• Communicate inspection results with clients, supervisors, and project teams.
