Job summary

Mistras Group Inc. - Services is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / NDT Inspector for a full-time, on-site project in Olean, NY. The role requires local candidates or relocation and offers per diem for eligible travelers, with pay up to $45.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include visual weld inspections, NDT testing, and reporting, while adhering to AWS codes, client requirements, and safety policies. Prioritizes certification maintenance and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass required background screening, drug screening, and client-specific requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with AWS codes and customer specifications.
• Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections following applicable procedures and industry standards.
• Inspect welds, materials, and components for quality and code compliance.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Communicate inspection findings with supervisors and customers.
• Follow all company safety policies and client requirements.
• Maintain certifications and comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Perform other inspection-related duties as assigned.
