Lexicon seeks a skilled NDE Inspector, Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team and oversee welding inspections for major steel structures. The role offers multiple shifts—Day, Night, and Weekend—with an additional 4-hour weekend bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.
• Must be able to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry and trigonometry.
• Currently certified Level II in at least two NDE Methods (VT), (PT), (MT), (UT) to ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent qualification.

Responsabilités

• Perform internal and external inspections to determine weldment/structure conformance to codes and standards.
• Interpret codes and specifications per drawing requirements.
• Compile and submit inspection data and communicate inter-office findings.
• Recommend repairs and perform visual inspection of in-process and finished work.
• Monitor welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW, PAW) for compliance with procedures.
• Verify welder qualifications and base metal specs.
• Appraise weld joint designs and fit-up per drawings.
• Verify cleanliness, fit, temperatures, and environmental conditions.
• Verify tack weld quality and post-weld heat treatments as required.
• Ensure documentation of fabrication and inspection activities and train teammates.
• Support development of NDE techniques for complex geometries.
• Interpret and report findings to production and engineering teams.
• Overtime, weekend work, and punctual attendance required.
