Job summary

Image Associates Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for an on-site role. You will conduct inspections of fabricated steel assemblies, read engineering drawings, and document all inspection activities, supporting heavy-load structures.

Relocation assistance is available, with day and night shifts offered in a four-day, 10-hour schedule. Candidates with an AWS CWI and 3+ years' experience are encouraged to apply for this on-site role in your selected area.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI Certification and at least three years of welding inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints.
• Proficiency with MS Office and reporting in preferred formats.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site testing and inspection of fabricated steel assemblies.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings to verify conformance.
• Document daily inspection results for manufacturing processes (cutting, punching, shearing, stamping, notching, welding, painting).
• Oversee GMAW Spray Transfer welding process inspections.
• Maintain daily inspection records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify cracks, corrosion, faulty welds, or defects affecting structural integrity.
• Experience with Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Visual, and Ultrasonic inspection (NDI) preferred.
