Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) based from our Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC location. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests across masonry, reinforced concrete, and structural steel projects.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans, conducting inspections per code, testing field conditions, and reporting results to engineers and contractors. Excellent benefits and relocation support are offered.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge Experience.
• NDT Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Shearwave a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements.
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections.
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly.
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others.
• Input results and observations into daily reports.
