Valley Health in Winchester Center, CT, seeks a Clinical Manager for CVTOR (Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic) to lead clinical and administrative operations within Surgical Services. The role emphasizes quality, financial vitality, and staff engagement to ensure best-practice patient care.

The position directs Supervisors and OR teams, collaborates with directors and physicians, manages budgets, and drives policy and KPI initiatives to elevate care standards across the CVTOR service line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Five years of progressive cardiac, vascular, thoracic operating room experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years in a leadership or Charge RN position required.
• Registered Nurse license in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license required.
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• CNOR required within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops vision and strategy to support growth and efficiency of CVTOR.
• Supports program development to enhance surgical capabilities and new procedures.
• Develop yearly goals and objectives with leadership and physicians to meet performance metrics.
• Assist with unit budget and capital budget requests.
• Establish policies and procedures for CVTOR.
• Collaborate with Surgical Services Managers to ensure continuity of care and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards of surgical services.
• Foster a culture of high reliability and transparency.
• Serve as liaison between department, service lines, and executive leadership.
• Provide KPI reporting to multiple levels of leadership.
• Participate in staffing and recruitment planning for operations.
• Engage CVTOR team and drive high-quality patient care.
