Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Cath Lab CVT to monitor diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures. The position requires an associate degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or respiratory therapy, or five years of relevant experience.

Certification in RCIS or RCES is required within 12 months of hire. Preferred licenses include FL ARRT or FL RRT with ARRT, with additional BLS/ACLS training.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
• Minimum of five (5) years experience if no degree
• RCIS RCES certifications required within 12 months of hire
• Florida ARRT-licensed radiologic technologist or registered respiratory therapist preferred
• RCIS/RCES certification required within 12 months if no applicable degree
• BLS/ACLS training and ability to read, write, speak and understand English

• Monitors procedures in the Cath Lab CVT, including diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies
• Ensures safe patient care during procedures
• Works as a scrub assistant during interventions

Overview

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications

Education: - Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy - In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years experience and:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
• FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS- ACLSSpecial Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
