Job summary

Soliant is seeking a CVOR Tech to join a cardiovascular surgical team on a contract basis in the Pittsburgh area. The role emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, and collaboration with surgeons and staff to support complex cardiovascular procedures.

You should have completed an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program, with CST certification preferred, and at least one year of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program.
• Current CST certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of OR cardiovascular experience.
• Proficient in cardiovascular procedures and sterile technique.
• Solid aseptic principles and infection control knowledge.
• Excellent organization and meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to collaborate with surgeons, nurses and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the CVOR including equipment setup and sterile field.
• Assist surgeons by providing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain counts of instruments, sponges and supplies during surgeries.
• Uphold a safe, sterile environment and infection prevention standards.
• Respond to evolving needs of the surgical team during cases.
• Support perioperative turnover and post-procedure cleanup.
