Job summary

Soliant is seeking a CVOR Tech to join a cardiovascular surgical team on a contract basis in the Pittsburgh area. The role emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, and collaboration with surgeons and staff to support complex cardiovascular procedures.

You should have completed an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program, with CST certification preferred, and at least one year of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Uphold a safe, sterile environment and infection prevention standards.
• Respond to evolving needs of the surgical team during cases.
• Support perioperative turnover and post-procedure cleanup.

Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of recent experience in a cardiovascular operating room
• Proficient in cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Strong understanding of aseptic principles and infection control practices
• Excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room including equipment setup and sterile field arrangement
• Assist surgeons by providing necessary instruments and supplies during procedures
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout surgeries
• Ensure a safe, sterile surgical environment and uphold infection prevention standards
• Respond promptly and competently to the evolving needs of the surgical team during cases
• Support the perioperative team with room turnover and post-procedure cleanup
