Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking a Surg Tech for the CVOR day shift in Macon, GA. The role includes scrub duties, growing patient-care responsibilities, and collaboration with licensed staff under RN direction.

Minimum education includes high school diploma and Surgical Technology program completion. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required or 3 years’ experience; BLS is required and preferred. Full-time position with a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School graduate or GED; Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: N/A
• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role with growing patient care responsibilities.
• Demonstrates higher level critical thinking and problem solving.
• Works in partnership with licensed staff and RN.
• Provides patient care for clients of various age groups under RN supervision.
