Ascension is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Via Christi, St Francis team in Wichita, KS. You will prepare specialized surgical environments, coordinate sterile instruments, and support cardiovascular and neurosurgical procedures to ensure smooth operative flow.

Qualifications include BLS, NBSTSA/NCCT/AST credentials, and a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience. This full-time, day-shift role features four 10-hour shifts with call and holiday rotation, plus

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date required; accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NBSTSA/NCCT/AST prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-tech surgical environments by coordinating sterile instruments and specialized supplies to ensure seamless procedural flow.
• Deliver precise instrumentation during complex cardiovascular and neurosurgical cases to support the surgical team.
• Safeguard patient wellbeing by maintaining a sterile field and monitoring instrument counts throughout the operative journey.
• Assist surgeons with hemostasis and patient positioning to ensure optimal surgical access and safety.
