Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City, AZ seeks an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to scrub on two or more surgical specialties. You will support cardiovascular procedures, work under RN supervision, and contribute to a collaborative OR environment. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified CVOR scrub techs.

You’ll join a team focused on excellence, with schedule Monday–Friday, day shift, and opportunities for professional growth in a high-volume cardiac program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technologist certification (or equivalent) with 1–2 years of experience, or 3–4 years in the role.
• Must be registered with the State Regulatory Agency where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for procedures by pulling instruments and supplies and ensuring instrument readiness.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments; maintains competency in at least two specialties.
• Maintains aseptic technique, disposes of sharps and trash, and prepares instruments for cleaning.
• Ensures correct surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
• Assists with OR turnover, stocking, replenishing supplies, and room cleaning.
• Participates in training and orientation of staff and students as assigned.
• Complies with safety, labeling, radiation, and infection control protocols.
