• Graduate from an accredited surgical assisting program.
• CSFA, CSA, or SA-C certification required.
• 2 years in operating room as a surgical technologist or current certification

Responsibilities

• Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values and conducts oneself accordingly.
• Adheres to laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.
• Preoperative assistance: positioning, Foley catheter placement, tourniquet, IVs, and related prep.
• Intraoperative duties: incision, hemostasis, tissue handling, device and drain management.
• Postoperative duties: dressings, skin assessment, transfers, and recovery participation.
