Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a CVOR travel nurse (OR) in Paducah, KY. The RN will circulate for cardiothoracic surgeries and other complex procedures, with a 13-week duration and 40 hours per week.

Travel experience preferred and must have 1–2 years acute care background. Responsibilities include pre-, peri-, and post-operative nursing care, sterile technique, medication administration, patient monitoring, and collaboration with surgeons and OR staff.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• 13-week travel assignment, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care before, during and after a surgical procedure.
• Provide circulating for cardiothoracic surgeries and other complex procedures.
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, apply dressings, and assist physicians.
• Maintain aseptic technique and coordinate OR sterility and equipment.
