Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular OR RN to join our surgical services team.

You’ll provide safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists and fellow nurses. We require a BSN, Colorado RN (or compact) license, BLS, and ideally 1 year of Cardiothoracic nursing.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service), required.
• At least one year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind.
• Assess a patient's medical status upon admission.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
