Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Cardiovascular OR RN to join the Operating Room team in Grand Junction, CO. The CVOR nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and peers to deliver safe, high-quality care for surgical patients.

Requirements include a BSN, Colorado RN (or compact) license, and current BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate. One year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience is highly preferred, with shift details noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service.
• At least 1 year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families.
• Assess a patient’s medical status upon admission.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
