Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training can be obtained through various organizations and learning systems that offer courses from the American Heart Association.
• Recent experience in CVICU with two years of experience.
• The RN has a responsibility to act as an educator to their peers, patients, and their families.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process and theories in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care using evidence based practices.
• Practice autonomously within professional nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights.
• Strive for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Ensure practice is in accordance with competency required for that area.
• Lead coordinating the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Provide collaborative care with other disciplines to ensure optimal patient care.
