Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at St. Francis Downtown. The role focuses on assessing patients, prioritizing needs, and delivering intensive nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment.

Responsibilities include care planning, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Required RN licensure with ACLS/BLS; BSN preferred and PALS for pediatrics is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department (preferred).
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• ACLS/BLS required or preferred per hire, with ACLS within 6 months if not current.
• PALS preferred at hire or required in Pediatric Units.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Assess patient status and develop a care plan; implement and evaluate treatments.
• Administer medications safely per policy and state practice.
• Adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and apply clinical judgement.
