Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in a critical care setting at West Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, with responsibilities across assessment, care planning, and evidence-based interventions.

The position requires 1 year of RN experience, with preference for 6 months in CCU/ED/Med-Surg. Current RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are essential; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or ED (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS or ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; PALS preferred if Pediatric Units (required in lieu of BLS/ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessment; create a plan of care, implement treatment, evaluate effectiveness.
• Synthesize and prioritize information to take evidence-based, patient-focused action.
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with confidence.
• Administer medications safely per state practice and organizational policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
