Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL seeks a Critical Care Registered Nurse for our CVICU. You will deliver high-acuity care, plan and assess patient needs, and educate families about treatments while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires FL RN licensure (compact accepted with license active within 60 days), Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS; ACLS and NIHSS within 6 months. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse; active FL RN license required within 60 days if compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking and strong interpersonal communication; PC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
