Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Charge Critical Care Registered Nurse for the ICU to provide clinical leadership and high-acuity patient care. You will guide a nursing team, ensure quality care, and coordinate with physicians to deliver timely interventions.

The role emphasizes clinical expertise, mentorship, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Florida RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred, with at least one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse with FL RN license or equivalent compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide leadership to your nursing team during your designated shift.
