Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse for our CVICU to deliver high-acuity care and support a collaborative team. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact acceptable with active license within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), ACLS/BLS and NIHSS certifications within specified timelines, and prior acute care

Qualifications

• Florida RN license in accordance with state regulations; active FL RN license within 60 days if compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required within specified timeframes.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months.
• Experience in acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
