About the Role

We are looking for a confident, client-facing team leader to oversee the Attendee Data Management and Web Specialist teams that support our client's Global Conferencing and Events (GCE) function and its Event Planners. This role is the immediate supervisor to Attendee Data Managers and Web Specialists and is accountable for the teams' day-to-day delivery, service quality and development across online registration, attendee communications, event websites, data integrity and reporting.

You will balance hands-on project execution and subject matter expertise with people leadership, setting clear priorities, allocating work, coaching the team and serving as an escalation point for clients and internal partners. To align support with planner needs and business priorities, you will develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end event lifecycle, individual event requirements, and the broader GCE event calendar.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead, coach and develop the Attendee Data Management and Web Specialist teams in support of the GCE function, providing clear direction, regular feedback and day-to-day support while aligning delivery to client and Event Planner needs and priorities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of online registration, event websites, attendee communications, data management, and reporting across the team's portfolio.
  • Assign work and manage capacity, priorities and deadlines to support consistent delivery across simultaneous events and changing business needs.
  • Establish and reinforce quality standards, review critical deliverables, and ensure appropriate quality control for registration builds, websites, communications, data, and reports.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery risks, complex attendee scenarios and client concerns, driving timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Partner closely with Event Planners and other stakeholders throughout the end-to-end event lifecycle, translating event objectives and logistics into effective registration journeys, attendee experiences, websites and reporting solutions.
  • Act as a player-coach by directly executing select projects and providing hands‑on support for key events, while serving as a subject matter expert and escalation point for the team.
  • Maintain visibility into the broader GCE event calendar to anticipate demand, align team capacity and prioritize support for key programs and business‑critical events.
  • Guide the team through complex requirements involving accommodations, travel, room blocks, sessions, guest management, and other attendee logistics.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies early, and provide concise status updates and recommendations to leadership and clients.
  • Drive process improvement, documentation, and knowledge sharing to strengthen consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the function.
  • Support team onboarding, training and performance development while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and service‑oriented culture.
  • Maintain hands‑on knowledge of Cvent, Excel and related event technology to troubleshoot issues and provide practical guidance when needed.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Cvent, partnering on platform‑related processes, best practices, enhancement opportunities and solutions that improve team efficiency, consistency and the attendee experience.

You Might Also Have
  • 5+ years of experience in event registration, attendee management, event websites or a related event technology discipline, with strong hands‑on Cvent experience.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising or coaching a team in a client‑facing delivery environment.
  • Experience overseeing a portfolio of concurrent corporate events with varied complexity and stakeholder needs.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful insights.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting room blocks, travel, session management and other attendee logistics in partnership with vendors.
  • Hospitality, meetings and events, or agency experience.
  • Experience with Cvent Attendee Hub or other event management platforms.
You Should Know
  • This is an in‑office position in New York, NY at least 3 - 4 days per week.
  • Occasional travel and onsite event management are required for this role.

Travel requirements for this role are as follows: Less than 25%

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Cvent, Attendee Data Management and Web Team Lead is between $110,000 - $125,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
