Job summary

Castelion is seeking a hands‑on Furnace Technician to support operation of our Ceramic Matrix Composite manufacturing processes in Torrance, CA. You will operate high‑temperature furnaces, monitor temperatures, pressures, and gas flows, and ensure production runs execute safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years operating industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high‑temperature CMC processing furnaces and associated equipment.
• Load and unload production hardware, tooling, and fixtures per work instructions.
• Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, vacuum, gas flow, cycle progression).
• Respond to alarms and deviations, and document issues.
• Perform routine inspections and support preventative maintenance.
• Execute startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures.
• Support troubleshooting and document performance of equipment and processes.
• Maintain production records and shift handoffs clearly.
