Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CVD Process Technician to support high-volume manufacturing of advanced semiconductor devices. You will work with technicians and engineers in a fast-paced fab, focusing on troubleshooting, tool qualifications, and SOP improvements.

Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree or equivalent, 3+ years CVD experience, and familiarity with major platforms (Lam, AMAT, WONIK, TEL).

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience or 3+ years direct CVD semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• 300mm CVD experience highly desired.
• Familiarity with Lam, AMAT, WONIK, TEL platforms and SPC methods preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain CVD equipment with root cause analysis and 6S mindset.
• Perform tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting.
• Conduct trend monitoring and collaborate with Layer Owners on corrective actions.
• Draft SOP revisions to improve quality and safety.
• Recover CVD equipment from PM or down events, including wafer recovery and tool qualifications.
• Document events from tool interruptions to Process engineers for proper disposition.
