Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor, in Taylor, TX, seeks a CVD Process Technician to join a fast-paced fab team. You will work with technicians and engineers to support troubleshooting and maintenance of advanced semiconductor devices.

Responsibilities include tool qualifications, lot dispositions, interlock troubleshooting, SOP revisions, and wafer recoveries. Shift is D‑shift Wed–Fri, with alternating Saturdays in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience.
• 3+ years CVD semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Familiar with 300mm CVD processes preferred; SPC methods knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance with root cause analysis.
• Perform tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting.
• Conduct trend monitoring and implement corrective actions with Layer Owners.
• Draft SOP revisions to ensure quality and safety improvements.
• Assist with recovery of CVD equipment from PM or down events.
• Document events to Process engineers for proper material disposition.
