Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CVD/Thin Films Engineer to join the process engineering team at the Taylor, TX fab. You will qualify new processes, match tool outputs, and implement controls while collaborating with senior engineers and device physicists to scale thin film processes (ALD, PECVD, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Fundamentals of SPC and CVD chemistries.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications.
• Basic project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Transfer: transfer/qualify process recipes; collect metrology data; ensure film properties meet specs; ensure cross-fab/tool matching; setup defense lines.
• Develop and implement process rework procedures; monitor tool performance; respond to abnormalities with corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: design experiments to improve yield, reliability, cost, and throughput; maintain process reference materials weekly.
