Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a dynamic Cardiovascular surgery PA or ACNP to join the Advanced Practice Providers team. Based at Banner Thunderbird and Banner Boswell, you will round on hospitalized patients, see clinic patients, and assist surgically in the OR as part of a growing Northwest Phoenix practice.

AZ licensure and DEA with prescriptive authority are required, with 1–2 years of CV surgery experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in AZ or eligible for licensure.
• DEA with prescriptive authority.
• Surgical first-assist training completed or equivalent.
• ACLS/BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of cardiovascular surgery experience preferred.
• OR surgical skill set required.
• Part-time position – 2 days per week (Mon; Tue).

Responsibilities

• Round on patients in the hospital and see patients in the clinic.
• Provide surgical first assist in the OR.
• Collaborate with the Cardiovascular Surgery team in a fast-paced environment.

in the Phoenix Northwest Valley!

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Cardiovascular surgery PA or ACNP to join our outstanding Cardiovascular Surgery Group who are doing remarkable things! Based out of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and Banner Boswell Medical Center, this position will help support expansion and growing market shares in the Phoenix Northwest Valley. In this role you will round on patients in the hospital, see patients in the clinic, and provide surgical first assist in the OR. Qualified candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work well within a team.

• Licensed in AZ or eligible for licensure
• DEA with prescriptive authority
• PA-C or ACNP w/RNFA Certificate at the time of application
• Documentation of successful completion of surgical first-assist training as a part of the curriculum in their nationally accredited nurse practitioner program or attendance at a surgical first assist training course sponsored by ACE, AORN, ANCC, or equivalent as approved by the facility Credentials Committee/Medical Executive Committee
• 1 - 2 years' experience preferred
• OR Surgical skill set
• Cardiovascular surgical experience including endo vein harvesting
• ACLS/BLS
• Part-time position - 2 days per week (Monday; Tuesday)
