WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. seeks a skilled radiologic technologist to support the Cardio Invasive Lab in performing procedures and ensuring patient safety. The candidate will assist physicians, monitor hemodynamics, and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements include a Medical Imaging Program background, radiography licensure, ARRT certification within six months, and BLS within 30 days of hire. The role emphasizes teamwork and strict sterile technique in a dynamic lab setting.
To perform as a technologist and assist the physician with patients who have had a variety of invasive cardiac procedures including but not limited to diagnostic heart catheterization, interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiological, device implantations, and peripheral vascular procedures.
Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
Must possess current Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided:
MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians
OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
PA: No state license required
WV : Radiography License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
MD: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
OH: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
PA: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within Six (6) months of graduation from Medical Imaging program.
WV: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
Obtain Dysthymia course certification through WVU Medicine within one year of hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
1. One (1) year of experience as a CV interventional radiologic technologist.
