WVU Medicine seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures with strict sterile technique. You will acquire all imaging and post-processing, and provide on-call emergency coverage.
Qualifications include graduation from a Medical Imaging Program, ARRT registration, and BLS certification. The role demands patient monitoring, accurate documentation, and teaching radiography students in a fast-paced lab.
Provides technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures utilizing sterile and aseptic technique. Acquires all imaging and post processing. Provides emergency services on call.
Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
Must possess current Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided
MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians
OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
PA: No state license is required
WV :Radiography License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
MD: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
OH: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
PA: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within Six (6) months of graduation from Medical Imaging program.
WV: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

To apply for the next level, the interventional radiology technologist must meet the requirements of their current level. They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.
Level 1
No experience required.
