We are hiring for a FIRST SHIFT - Cutting Room Laborer

Hours are: 5:30am - 2:30pm (with some mandatory OT)

As a Cutting Room Production Laborer, you will work in a fast-paced production environment where you'll be responsible for performing manual labor related to all aspects of the Cutting Room process. Safety is a top priority; all employees are expected to work safely. Additionally, you may be required to assist in any department other than your primary department when and where your assistance is needed.

• Responsible for assisting the supervisor on all operational & safety-related functions of company equipment & machinery such as the bagger, VC999, Shrink Tunnel, Peeler, Roll stock, Grasselli Slicers, Spiral Slicers, Band Saw, Cubing Machine, Box Tapers, Metal Detectors, Scales, Pallet Jacks, & other production-related machinery.
• Must be consistent & reliable in attendance.
• Ability to use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understand all aspects of company recipes.
• Must have the ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations to management and other team members of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems.
• Must be able to work/train employees in a fast-paced refrigerated environment.
• Must be able to engage and motivate the production team while setting a professional example.
• Must be able to report to management staff safety, quality, productivity, and attendance issues from employees.
• Operate machinery & plan staff scheduling/rotation/tasks.
• Report plant machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.
