Job summary

Hallmart Collectibles, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Production Coordinator & Cutting Lead in Los Angeles. You will spend about 70% of your day at the cutting table and the rest keeping production on track through reading bibles, tracking inventory, processing orders, and shipping smaller orders for Etsy and Z Gallerie.

The role suits an organized, detail-minded individual who knows fabric and how a sewing workroom runs, with the ability to catch problems before they become expensive.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
• Strong communication skills with owner, sewing staff, vendors and customers.
• Experience running or coordinating production in a sewing, upholstery or soft-goods workroom.
• Able to read and understand production bibles and spec sheets.
• Working knowledge of fabric yields and fabric behavior.
• Experience operating multiple types of cutting machines.
• Familiar with the capabilities of different industrial sewing machines.
• Comfortable on a computer: downloading orders, basic Excel, reading purchase orders.
• Experience with inventory tracking.
• Neat, organized and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and production leadership (about 70% of the role).
• Operate multiple cutting machines and prepare cut work for sewing room.
• Read and follow production bibles for each style: specs, materials, construction notes.
• Calculate and verify fabric yields to minimize waste and ensure material availability.
• Run production day to day and keep work moving on schedule.
• Spot production problems early (fabric flaws, spec errors, yield shortfalls) and raise promptly.
• Understand sewing machine capabilities to route work to the right machine and operator.
• Prepare fabric samples and swatches.
• Manage orders, inventory and shipping; download and process online orders.
• Read PO's and confirm quantities, styles, fabrics and due dates.
• Track fabric, materials and finished goods inventory, flag low stock.
• Complete simple Excel tasks updating inventory and order logs.
• Pack and ship smaller orders (Etsy and Z Gallerie).
• Pickup materials and deliver finished goods as needed.
• Keep cutting table, workroom and storage neat and organized.
