Job summary

4over is seeking an Operator I, Cutting for the 3rd shift at the Dayton Plant in Huber Heights, OH. The role covers setup, adjustment and safe operation of cutting equipment to prepare product to meet customer specifications.

You will manage batching, plan workflows, troubleshoot machines, and ensure quality and timely completion while following safety policies. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality.
• Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to meet color accuracy and placement standards.
• Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand policies and instructions in English.
• Strong foundational math: basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate batching system to complete assignments.
• Identify priority jobs and plan work processes to meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with side cutter operators and inspect order types.
• Troubleshoot machines and replace worn blades as required; set up job specs and run product when approved.
• Monitor run and adjust speed to adhere to specs.
• Ensure completion of assignments meeting quality/quantity specs.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records.
• Regularly perform general housekeeping and follow safety policies.
• Attend department meetings and wear PPE when required.
