Job summary

VALDESE WEAVERS LLC is seeking an hourly, non-exempt Cut Yardage worker in Valdese, NC. Responsibilities include pulling fabric for cut orders, loading tables, and unloading containers, with emphasis on labeling, inventory control, and safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates will have basic reading, writing, and math skills, strong communication, and mechanical aptitude. Adherence to ISO 9001 work instructions and daily 5S tasks is required.

• Report injuries and safety hazards to supervisor.

DEPARTMENT: Cut YardageREPORTS TO: Department Manager/SupervisorFLSA: Hourly Hourly - Non ExemptEST./REVISED: 1/24/2023Pay Rate: $17.10Shift Premium & Attendance Bonus: $17.72Job Summary: Pull/put up fabric, load tables, and unload containers.Tools and Equipment used: Motorized equipment, general office supplies, tablet, scissors, bagger, and conveyor belt. PPE: Safety Harness, LanyardEssential Functions: Perform duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards.Pull fabric for cut and import orders.Load cut tables.Prepare fabric for shipments.Properly identify fabric with appropriate labels and tickets.Pull imports for finishing runs.Return fabric to proper storage location.Unload Containers.Clean work area. Maintain good housekeeping.Maintain and complete daily 5S assignments and responsibilities.Perform other duties needed to do the job or as required by the supervisor.Safety:Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.Maintain 5S standards.PPE Required:Earplugs, dust mask, safety glasses, lock, safety tag, back brace, any other equipment as required by MSDS.Qualifications:Meet all pre-employment requirements.Basic reading, writing, and math skills.Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.Mechanical aptitude.
