Job summary

Valdese Weavers LLC is seeking a hardworking material handler to pull fabric rolls, load shipments, and maintain accurate loading procedures in a fast-paced textile mill in Valdese, NC. You will operate a cherry picker, manage multiple rolls per hour, and ensure shipments meet deadlines while following ISO 9001 standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, sustaining 5S standards, and performing overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required.

• Operate cherry picker to pull cloth from storage tubes.
• Pull 40+ rolls per hour and prepare for shipment.
• Load local trucks and coordinate with shipping.
• Follow ISO 9001 work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5S standards and report injuries or hazards.

Valdese Weavers offers a positive, productive, and progressive environment, along with excellent benefits.Pay Rate: $17.10Pay Rate & Attendance Bonus: $17.72Job Summary: Pull rolls of fabric and load onto truck for shippingEssential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:Pull orders from tubes by computer sheet – by customer acknowledgment number and item number.Operate cherry picker in a safe and productive manner to pull rolls of cloth from storage tubes.Pull cloth rolls twelve to eighteen rolls per buggy. Leave rolls in the buggy or stacked on flats in order or leaned against rails in order.Pull a minimum of 40 rolls per hour and place them for shipment.Load local trucks.Perform other duties as assigned.Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.Meet deadlines and production quotas.Get along with co-workers.Follow instructions.Work scheduled overtime.Other Requirements:Work overtime as needed.Perform any other assignment requested by the supervisor.Safety:Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.Maintain 5S standards.PPE Required: Safety beltQualifications:Meet all pre-employment requirements.Basic reading, writing, and math skills.Good communication skills with the ability to work well with othersFork lift licenseGood physical condition – heavy lifting required.
